Recipe for:

Cava Sangria with Fresh Fruits, Cinnamon and Almond flavouring

INGREDIENTS:

(Serves 8)

One Bottle cava (tip on a budget you may use cheap white wine and soda) 

1/4th cup calamansi juice

Fresh fruits in season (one sliced Indian mango with skin, one sliced ripe mango, one sliced orange or dalandan, one sliced red and green apple) pineapple is great here too! 

1/4th cup orange juice 

1/4th cup triple Sec

One teaspoon McCormcik almond extract

6 dashes cinnamon 


HERE’S HOW TO MAKE THIS DISH:

1. In a large pitcher place all fresh fruits, add the calamansi and orange juice, triple Sec, almond and cinnamon and mix all together.

 

2.  Then add the cava or wine and soda. 

If you want the Sangria to be a bit sweet add some honey! 

3. Chill for 2 hours before serving to let the fruits absorb the liquids! 

As they say in Spain ¡Chin Chin!
